Curry County Jail Roster Overview

Note: A court date field in the jail profile should be checked against the court because schedules can change after booking.

Curry County Inmate Profile Fields
A Curry County inmate profile is useful because it connects the roster result to booking detail. The visible sample profile included a name header, mugshot area, identifiers, booking and release dates, basic physical descriptors, charge rows, and booking history. It did not show Social Security number, date of birth, street address, arrest narrative, probable-cause affidavit, officer report, plea agreement, judgment, or sentencing order.

The case-number field is important, but it has limits. A jail booking number is not the court case number. Court case numbers observed in the research used New Mexico court formats such as District Court and Magistrate Court prefixes. If a profile shows a District Court or Magistrate Court case number, the court record should be checked through Case Lookup for the current case status.
Curry County Jail Facility
Curry County's adult jail is the Curry County Adult Detention Center in Clovis. The detention center serves Curry County and City of Clovis law-enforcement agencies. County material lists Joe Alaniz as administrator, describes a facility built in 1993 and upgraded in 2020, and notes a 262-bed capacity after an original 208-bed plan. The building includes medical, booking, sally-port, kitchen, laundry, visitation, exercise, and multipurpose areas, with secure housing units and contract staff for medical, mental health, kitchen, and commissary functions.

Curry County Custody Lookups
Not every inmate record belongs to the Curry County jail. The county jail is the right first search for a current or archived local booking. The New Mexico Corrections Department Offender Search covers offenders incarcerated in state prison or under probation/parole supervision, and NMCD states that it does not have jurisdiction over county or city detention facilities. Curry County Inmate Mail and Funds
The Curry County inmate funds page states that personal mail is delivered digitally through tablets and that physical personal mail is not accepted at the facility. The sender must include the facility name and state, the inmate's full name, the inmate number, and the sender's full name and physical address on the envelope. Curry County Detention Programs
The Adult Detention Center material describes detainee care and programs beyond the roster. Listed services include 24-hour medical and mental health care, in-house mental-health prevention and intervention, community and statewide referrals, medication assisted treatment for opiate and other substance-abuse dependencies, evidence-based education on tablets and in person, faith-based programs, Medicaid enrollment, veteran crisis intervention, and work programs in kitchen, laundry, porter, and outside details.
Curry County also reports zero tolerance for sexual assault, sexual harassment, and retaliation involving inmates, staff, contractors, volunteers, and other inmates. Curry County Juvenile Detention
Curry County juvenile detention is not handled through the adult jail roster in the same way. County commissioners voted in April 2020 to close the Juvenile Detention Center after reviewing statewide and local juvenile arrest trends and fiscal concerns. Research notes state that Curry County juvenile detainees are housed in approved and certified contracted juvenile detention centers outside Curry County.
